Jungle Rumble Update -  Monday 5^th November 2012

Welcome to our new weekly Jungle Rumble blog. Each week my team and I will give you the lowdown on all things Jungley as well as keep you informed of any promotions and deals we have going on as well as any gossip from in and around Liverpool One.

Last week was very busy for us what with Halloween and all its hype as well as a busy Saturday night with some really great groups in enjoying our various drinks deals - see website or social media for more details. The Cocktail deal especially seems to be popular at the moment with Carlo and I having to make a special trip to Glasslines to buy more glasses and shakers!

We were proud to announce on Tuesday our collaboration with the Krazyhouse both for our Thursday Student Nights and beyond. Their event “I’m Wasted, get me out of here” on Friday 16^th November is in association with us and features some golf and a lot of drinking including some alternative “Bushtucker Trials”. The K have also added to our £10 Student Night offer so that as well as the 18 holes of golf, 2 selected drinks and a shot you will also get free entry to the Krazyhouse before 12pm every Thursday.  Well worth taking advantage of!

In Liverpool One related news we are awaiting the opening of the Ice Festival this Wednesday the 7^th of November and what we have seen so far in the press releases it looks fantastic. We have a sneak preview tomorrow and a chance to try out the Ice Slide and have a drink or two in the Ice Bar – but as its -6 degrees in there we are only allowed in for 20 minutes so they will have to be quickies!

The Perfect Venue for your next meeting or event...

Jungle Rumble is a great place to entertain clients and colleagues. All ages and both sexes will have a fantastic time. We can accommodate, entertain and cater for groups of 4 to 200.

Groups can play for as little as £6.75 per head - £6.00 for students and concessions! Larger parties might want to consider renting one or both courses for an evening. We have a bar and café where we can provide bar snacks and buffets to suit all budgets.

We have two mezzanine areas overlooking the courses. These make a perfect spot for drinks after playing the courses. Each mezzanine can be reserved exclusively for groups of more than twenty. We can cater for 35 - 50 people on each mezzanine.

THE MONKEY WALL

New to Jungle Rumble, The MONKEY climbing wall has featured on many TV programs such Dog Eat Dog, Blue Peter and most recently The Gadget Show. Are you strong and fit enough to tame the rock? Climb in pairs and challenge your friends. Only £3.00 per person. Ask our staff about a group rate discount.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required when placing a booking. This can be paid over the phone or by coming into Jungle Rumble.

A format that works well is for groups to arrive approximately 15 - 20 minutes before their round of golf and have drinks. This we find increases competitiveness but most importantly the entertainment value. Those that want a rematch or to try the other course venture back out, whilst the rest of the group remains at the bar or mezzanine area.

Our policy with bar bills for corporate events is that we ask for a company credit card and then we are happy to keep a running tab of drinks over the course of the evening. The bill is then settled at the end of the event. You can, of course, purchase drinks individually.

A group of four players will take approximately 45 – 60 minutes to complete one round of 18-holes. Add 5 minutes per additional groups. Therefore three groups will take approximately 60 -75 minutes.

Please note that we are happy for you to take drinks around with you whilst you are playing - please return empty glasses and bottles though!

Option 1 - Golf only

1 - 4 adults - £7.25 per adult, per course. It’s £6.50 for students and concessions.
5 or more adults - £6.75 per adult, per round of 18-holes. It’s £6.00 for students and concessions.

Option 2 - Golf and Buffet

This is the same as Option 1 plus we can provide a quality buffet from £6.95 per head.

Buffet Selection - please ask a member of our team for the options and choices. Buffet must be booked two weeks in advance.

Option 3 - Private Hire

Private Hire of one Course

This is the best way to entertain up to 70 guests. You would have exclusive use of one of our courses followed by drinks and buffet on the mezzanine.

Monday - Thursday - £300 per hour
Friday, Saturday & Sunday - £600 per hour

We can supply a quality buffet. These start at as little as £6.95 per head. Use of our fully licensed bar Private Hire of the whole of Jungle Rumble

This is an excellent way to entertain your guests. We can accommodate up to 150 people on the courses and a further 30 - 50 non-playing guests. We effectively close Jungle Rumble for the duration of your party giving you and your client’s unlimited private access to both of the courses, the bar and the two mezzanine areas.

Monday - Thursday - £600 per hour
Friday, Saturday & Sunday - £1200 per hour

We can supply a quality buffet. These start at as little as £6.95 per head.

You have exclusive use of our fully licensed bar.

We would like to offer all children 2 4 1 to do THE ROCK CHALLENGE - £2.50 for two children to climb at the same time and challenge each other!!!

Adults/supervisors/teachers are welcome to participate in any of the activities for FREE!

We are also able to provide a mezzanine area should you wish to hold a meeting or sit down for lunch.

What's better than one giant exploring Liverpool ?... Two Giants !!

Anticipation is mounting around what will be the Uk's biggest street theatre event in 2012 as April's giant extravaganza sees a 30ft Little Girl Giant roaming around North Liverpool and the city centre. But she won't be the only one... Visit www.giantspectacular.com for more details.

In April, the world's greatest street theatre company, Royal De Luxe, will bring their Little Girl Giant to Liverpool in one of the UK's most spectacular events. Sea Odyssey is a magical tale of love, loss and reunion played out on a gigantic scale. It will take place in key city spaces, moving across North Liverpool and the city centre, wowing the hundreds of thousands of people who are expected to descend on the city over the three days.

The event will undoubtedly bring a large number of spectators into the city during the weekend all eager to catch a glimpse of this once in a lifetime event. There will be some disruptions in parts of the city with the streets being closed off to allow for the action to take place.

Seeing is believing, so come join the Little Girl Giant and be part of her amazing journey of discovery in Liverpool.

New Menu's & Offers released in the Jungle !

We are very pleased to announce that we are finally ready to unveil our new menus !!

Noticed how we have said "menus" rather than just "menu" ? That's because we have created separate menus to suit our wide range of customers. 

We have created unique menus for occasions like Kid's Parties (no hot food) a menu for Adult's AND for Kids, one menu is just for Pizza, which ranges from the "Classic Margarita" to the "Jamaican Me Hungry". As well as these we have a special offer for our "Student Thursday" night where you can take your favourite drink on the course with you. And last but not least, not forgetting our "Weekend Special" !

Mini golf, Hideout Cafe, Simulators, Climbing walls... Urinal games ?

Our friends at Captive Media have come up with a new toy, that would probably make you look forward to visiting the bathroom, while playing your rounds at Jungle Rumble !

We have just installed a Urinal based computer game in Bristol and it goes into Liverpool later this week.

The Captive Media system consists simply of a hi-definition screen, fitted at eye level above the urinal, where it commands the full attention of the user. When not in active use, it plays a mixture of adverts and content from one of our six ‘PTV’ channels.

But when a user approaches, it flips into gaming mode, using patented technology to detect not only his presence … but the direction of his stream. Algorithms then allow the user to do something simple, but VERY engaging – controlling the system just by aiming their stream left or right!

Theatre lovers & football fanatics.. We can please 'em all...

Welcome to the Jungle...

We would like to start our first blog post by saying welcome to the Jungle Rumble blog. For our first post, we would like to tell you a bit about Jungle Rumble, our establishments, what you can expect from our Blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts. 

Jungle Rumble holds 2 x 18 hole crazy golf courses, test your pitch and putt skills in various jungle themed settings from the dark forbidden swamp to the active live volcano. 

We can guarantee that this will be one golfing experience you will never have had before. 

Jungle Rumble is an amazing establishment jammed packed full of colourful characters and creative surroundings. Each individual course has been created with unique settings as well as challenging obstacles which should test the skills of people of all ages.

At Jungle Rumble we have our very own Hideout Cafe, where you can enjoy a drink or sample the jungle menu with amazing views of our course. We welcome all spectators to the Hideout, and we are the best party venue in town. Here you can enjoy a hot or cold meal, with a choice of fantastic alcoholic beverages and soft drinks to wash it down. 

Finally, what kind of golfing establishment would we be if you we didn't have somewhere for you to practice your swing ? A crazy one... anyway these high tech simulators are used in PGA training centres and are available in our liverpool branch.
